Yes. According to a National Transportation Safety Board cockpit voice recording summary released Wednesday, September 10, 2026, one pilot of the Amazon cargo Boeing 767 repeatedly warned for nearly two minutes that the plane was going too fast on approach and after touchdown.
The NTSB summary said the other pilot never gave a “consistent verbal response” to those calls. The jet then touched down awkwardly, briefly attempted a go-around, overran the runway by about 1,300 feet at Miami International Airport, and struck vehicles, killing five people on the ground.
