Yes. Iraq’s prime minister’s office said the operations commander in Maysan governorate — a southeastern province bordering Iran — was removed after investigators confirmed that drones that struck Saudi Arabia’s East-West oil pipeline had been launched from that region.
Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi also ordered an investigation into the Maysan Operations Command. Saudi Arabia had already shut the roughly 1,200 km (745 mile) Abqaiq-to-Yanbu pipeline as a precaution after the attacks and said it would hold off on retaliation while Iraq acted.
