What is the new name of Paramount and Warner Bros after their merger?

The combined company is called Skydance Corporation. Paramount Skydance completed its roughly $110 billion takeover of Warner Bros Discovery on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, and the merged business was rebranded under the Skydance name, after the company David Ellison founded before he took control of Paramount and then Warner Bros Discovery.

Ellison is chairman and chief executive, and outgoing Mattel chief executive Ynon Kreiz was named co-chief executive to run day-to-day operations. The new company brings together HBO, CBS, CNN, Nickelodeon, Showtime, Comedy Central, DC Studios and Food Network. Under a settlement with US states that had sued to block the deal, it must release at least 30 films a year or sell its 49% stake in Miramax.
