How much did Michael Jordan’s ‘Last Dance’ jersey sell for?

A Chicago Bulls jersey that Michael Jordan wore in Game 2 of the 1998 NBA Finals, during his “Last Dance” season, sold for $14 million (about £10.6 million) in October 2026, a record for any piece of basketball memorabilia. The jersey is autographed; Jordan scored a game-high 37 points in that game on the way to his sixth and final championship. The buyer was Miami real estate investor Ron Firman, in a private sale through Hunt Auctions. It beats the $12.3 million paid about two weeks earlier for his unsigned Game 3 jersey from the same Finals, though Babe Ruth’s 1932 “called shot” jersey ($24.1 million in 2024) remains the most expensive sports memorabilia item.
