Yes, Llama is free for commercial use for most businesses: Meta’s Llama 4 Community License grants a royalty-free license to use, copy, modify and distribute the models, including in commercial products.
As of October 31, 2026, the main limit is size. If the products or services offered by you or your affiliates had more than 700 million monthly active users in the calendar month before the Llama 4 release date, you must request a separate license from Meta, which Meta may grant at its sole discretion.
Free use also comes with conditions. If you distribute Llama 4, or a product or service that contains it, you must include a copy of the license and prominently display “Built with Llama.” A model you train or fine-tune with Llama and then distribute must have “Llama” at the start of its name. You must keep Meta’s attribution notice and follow the Llama Acceptable Use Policy. Earlier releases such as Llama 3.3 have their own community licenses, so check the terms for the exact version you use. Meta’s newer open-weight model, Muse Spark Open, uses a separate license.
