The DeepSeek API limits concurrent requests per account: 2,500 for deepseek-flash and 500 for deepseek-v4-pro, according to the official DeepSeek API documentation.
As of November 8, 2026, a request counts as one concurrent connection from the time it is sent until the model response is complete. The limit is calculated for the whole account, regardless of which API key is used. Requests within the limit receive a response. When the limit is exceeded, the API returns an HTTP 429 error code.
If you need higher concurrency, DeepSeek accepts a capacity expansion request, at no additional cost, and matches the limit to your business needs. You can also pass a user_id parameter to separate your own users. For accounts with increased quotas, each user_id then has its own limit of 2,500 for deepseek-flash and 500 for deepseek-v4-pro. The documentation does not publish a requests-per-minute or token-per-minute cap.
