Yes. On September 25, 2026, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he asked U.S. President Donald Trump to press China’s leader to use Beijing’s influence over Moscow in a diplomatic effort to end Russia’s 4½-year invasion of Ukraine.
Zelenskyy told reporters he had not yet received feedback from the White House about Trump’s talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, but expected to learn the outcome. He had met Trump earlier in the week during a U.S. trip around the U.N. General Assembly.
