On September 28, 2026, Brigadier-General Andrii Biletskyi, commander of Ukraine’s 3rd Army Corps, said Ukrainian forces liberated the villages of Ridkodub, Nove, and Katerynivka in northern Donetsk Oblast as part of Operation Vivaldi, and restored full control over Karpivka and Novomykhailivka.
The corps said this phase reclaimed about 51 square kilometers, bringing the total territory officially retaken in the operation to about 176 square kilometers, and reported over 2,000 Russian losses and more than 250 prisoners.
