Yes. Kiro has a perpetual Kiro Free tier that costs $0 per month and includes 50 credits, with access to open-weight models and Claude Sonnet 4.5, subject to limits.
As of November 1, 2026, Kiro’s pricing page lists four paid tiers: Pro at $20 per user per month with 1,000 credits, Pro+ at $40 with 2,000 credits, Pro Max at $100 with 5,000 credits and Power at $200 with 10,000 credits. Paid tiers add premium models and let you buy add-on credits at $0.04 each, which the Free tier cannot do. Prices exclude taxes, and Kiro in AWS GovCloud has no Free tier.
Starting November 1, 2026, your first upgrade from Free includes a trial: the rest of that month on Pro is free, and you get 500 trial credits that expire 12 months after you receive them. Upgrading requires a valid credit card. You do not need an AWS account, because you can sign in with GitHub, Google, AWS Builder ID or AWS IAM Identity Center. A credit is a unit of work, and simple prompts can use less than one credit.
