Yes. Ramps (Allium tricoccum), also called wild leeks, are a native wild onion of the moist hardwood forests of eastern North America, and both the leaves and the lower white leaf stalks are edible. Their flavor is a mix of onion and strong garlic, and they are pungent enough that cooks usually use them sparingly.
Ramps are traditionally eaten as one of the first fresh greens of spring, especially in Appalachia, and they are sold at farmers markets and served in restaurants. Because heavy harvesting is seriously damaging wild populations in some areas, University of Wisconsin–Madison Extension recommends gathering them carefully without damaging the bulbs, or growing them yourself.
