Yes. On September 17, 2026, Anthropic said its Claude system “leads” 26% of the company’s internal artificial-intelligence research and development work, up from 1% in March on a scale developed by Epoch AI.
The company also said AI collaborated with humans on more than 90% of its research work as of August, while stressing Claude is not fully autonomous in any of the measured work. Anthropic said it will publish such measures regularly so outsiders can see how quickly AI is helping build the next generation of the technology.
