Yes. On September 30, 2026, the Metropolitan Police said it had submitted its full case files to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), asking prosecutors to consider charges including corporate manslaughter and gross negligence manslaughter over the 2017 Grenfell Tower fire that killed 72 people.
The force said the files cover 54 individuals and 20 companies or organisations, and also ask the CPS to consider health and safety offences, fraud-related offences, and misconduct in public office. The CPS has said it aims to make charging decisions before the fire’s 10th anniversary in June 2027. Source: Metropolitan Police statement (see also Reuters).
