Eric Bauza, the voice of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Porky Pig, died of hypertensive cardiovascular disease, according to Variety, which reported that he died at home on Sunday, October 25, 2026, aged 46.
His family said in a statement on Instagram that he had died “suddenly.” Bauza, who was born in Ontario, Canada, and was of Filipino descent, was Warner Bros.’ lead Looney Tunes voice in recent years. He voiced Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd and Foghorn Leghorn in Space Jam: A New Legacy (2021) and returned to those roles, plus Road Runner, in this summer’s animated hit Coyote vs. Acme. He also played the Toad General in The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023) and its sequel, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and won three Emmy awards for voice performance between 2022 and 2025. Warner Bros. Television Group chairman Channing Dungey said Bauza “followed in the footsteps of giants like Mel Blanc,” the original voice of Bugs Bunny.
