A typical California (Hass) avocado has about 227 calories. USDA FoodData Central lists raw California avocados at 167 calories per 100 grams, and one fruit without skin and seed weighs about 136 grams. Larger Florida avocados have fewer calories per gram (120 per 100 grams) but weigh about 304 grams each, so a whole one has roughly 365 calories.
Across all commercial varieties, USDA lists 160 calories per 100 grams, about 240 calories per cup of cubes (150 grams), and about 80 calories in a 50-gram serving. Most of those calories come from fat, at about 14.7 grams per 100 grams, along with about 6.7 grams of fiber.
