Yes. Columbus Day, which falls on Monday, October 12, 2026, and is observed as Indigenous Peoples’ Day in many places, is not on the New York Stock Exchange’s 2026 holiday calendar. NYSE stocks trade on their normal schedule that day, with the core session running from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET, and the Nasdaq follows the same holiday schedule.
The bond market is different. The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) recommends a full close for U.S. bond trading on Columbus Day, and most banks and the Federal Reserve also observe the holiday, so bank transfers and other settlements may not post until Tuesday, October 13.
