Muse Spaces: Power-User Guide to Custom Muse Experiences

Last updated: November 6, 2026

On November 6, 2026, Meta launched Muse Spaces: custom experiences you create inside the Muse app by describing an idea, then pin to the sidebar or main tabs. The same day, Meta began rolling specialized models with Active Memory and Active Focus to Muse and Meta AI users, trained using Muse Wonder.

What Muse Spaces are

Meta’s November 6, 2026 product post introduces spaces as an interactive way to personalize Muse. You describe the experience you want—a holiday gift tracker, a daily word game, a DIY planning board—and Muse builds it. The space stays inside Muse so you can open it from the places you choose.

Spaces are custom surfaces inside Muse, shaped by your routines and the connectors you approve. Tell Muse a goal, then refine the space instead of starting a blank chat each time. For the frontier Muse Code and API model, see our Muse Wonder guide.

How to create and organize a space

Meta’s announcement describes a prompt-first flow rather than a form builder. Use this sequence:

  1. Open Muse where it is available (mobile app or muse.ai on the web, with a Meta account per Meta’s getting started Help Center article).
  2. Tell Muse the space you want in plain language. Include the outcome, the data sources that matter, and how you want to view it (list, board, tracker, game, and so on).
  3. Review what Muse builds. Ask for missing pieces, a different layout, or a change in how the space works.
  4. Place the space where you will use it: add it to the sidebar, move it into main tabs, or hide it when you do not need it.
  5. Schedule visibility when useful—for example a workweek planner during weekdays and a weekend plan on Saturday, as Meta’s examples describe.
  6. Connect the apps the space should watch so it can refresh in the background after you grant access.

Power-user tip: treat the first prompt as a product brief. Name the audience, the recurring actions, and the connectors you will approve, then iterate inside the space.

What you can build

Meta lists practical and playful examples. Use them as templates, then tighten the brief to your own constraints.

Space idea (Meta examples) What it pulls together
Shopping hub Gift ideas, Instagram wishlist saves, Marketplace listings and buyer messages
School dashboard Relevant school-email events added to your calendar
Music tracker New releases and upcoming shows for artists you follow
Wedding planner RSVP list, vendor invoices, and to-dos
Order or client hub New orders, customer messages, ship-today work, freelance projects and invoices
Trip planner Flights, hotel, reservations, and a day-by-day itinerary

Meta also cites trivia games and podcast studios—the same pattern of one durable home for a recurring goal.

Specialized models, Active Memory and Focus

The same day as Spaces, Meta’s research blog announced specialized versions of existing Muse and Meta AI models trained using Muse Wonder. Meta has not published separate public model IDs for those consumer models. The New Stack (November 6) also notes they are unnamed, with Wonder kept for harder subscriber tasks.

What Meta does quantify:

  • Active Memory: remember what matters, separate temporary from permanent facts, and pull earlier context when it is still relevant. Meta reports a 2.4× reduction in forgetting critical goal information, and 90% vs 76% on its Active Memory eval for current vs previous Muse models.
  • Active Focus: keep working toward a goal through real-world blockers by trying harder, recovering, or finding alternatives. Meta reports a 67% improvement completing everyday Muse tasks when unexpected issues arise (baseline not published).
  • Personal Superintelligence Index: Meta charts current Muse models at 47% vs previous Muse models at 38% on that internal index.

Active Memory and Active Focus were introduced with Muse Wonder on October 12, 2026. Wonder remains on the Meta Model API and Muse Code; Wonder Full stays on Muse Code’s higher plans. The November 6 rollout brings Wonder-trained behaviors to more Muse and Meta AI users without serving Wonder to everyone.

Plans, availability and limits

Meta says Spaces are available everywhere Muse is available as of November 6, 2026. Muse launched in the United States on iOS, Android, and muse.ai; subscriptions remain limited testing and are not in all locations.

Usage plans from Meta’s About Muse subscriptions Help Center:

Plan Price Weekly Muse tokens (official)
Free $0 with a usage limit Limit size not published
Power $20 / month 500 million
Maximum $100 / month 3 billion

Subscriptions renew monthly. You must be 18 or the age of majority, be in a country where Muse is available, and sign in with a Meta account. Benefits can vary by region.

Connectors still need approval. Muse requires human-in-the-loop checks for writes; sensitive writes such as purchases or sending email need approval every time. Review scopes when a space connects email, Marketplace, or calendars.

How this fits Muse Wonder and rivals

Muse Spaces customize the consumer Muse app. Muse Wonder and Wonder Full remain the frontier stack for Muse Code and the Meta Model API—see our Muse Wonder and Muse Spark Open guides. For a self-hosted coworker, compare Open Duet 0.8; for Anthropic’s research-preview agent, see Claude Duet.

Limits to note: space sharing is still exploratory; free weekly allowance size is unpublished; specialized consumer model IDs and API prices are not on the November 6 research post; Muse remains region-limited. Monitor connected accounts and revoke connectors you no longer need.

Frequently asked questions

What are Muse Spaces?

Muse Spaces are custom experiences you create inside Meta’s Muse app by describing an idea—such as a gift tracker, weekly planner, or trip itinerary. Meta’s November 6, 2026 announcement says each space becomes part of Muse so you can keep it where you want and return to it anytime.

Where can I put a Muse space in the app?

Meta says you can add spaces to your sidebar, move them into main tabs, hide ones you do not need, and schedule when they appear. For example, keep a weekly planner up front on weekdays and swap it for weekend plans on Saturday.

Do Muse Spaces require a paid plan?

Meta’s Spaces announcement says spaces are available everywhere Muse is available. Muse itself has a free tier with a usage limit, plus Power ($20/month, 500M Muse tokens per week) and Maximum ($100/month, 3B tokens per week) per Meta’s subscriptions Help Center. Meta does not publish a separate Spaces-only price.

What are Active Memory and Active Focus on Muse?

Active Memory and Active Focus first shipped with Muse Wonder. On November 6, 2026, Meta said it is bringing both to specialized models in Muse and Meta AI. Meta reports a 2.4× reduction in forgetting critical goal information, 90% vs 76% on its Active Memory eval, and a 67% improvement completing everyday tasks when unexpected issues arise.

How do Muse Spaces stay up to date?

Meta says you can connect the apps you use so spaces update in the background—for example new concert dates, price changes, or savings progress—without you having to ask. You can check items off, add notes, and edit inside the space.

Can I share Muse Spaces with other people?

Not yet as a shipped feature. Meta says it is exploring ways for you to share spaces with others for a more collaborative Muse experience. As of the November 6, 2026 announcement, spaces are personal experiences inside your Muse app.
