When does the unclaimed $40 million Lotto Max ticket from Ontario expire?

The unclaimed C$40 million Lotto Max jackpot ticket from the October 28, 2025 draw expires at midnight on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, exactly one year after the draw, according to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG).

OLG says the winning ticket was bought at a retailer in Grey County, Ontario, a tourist area that includes the Blue Mountains and Owen Sound, so the buyer may be a visitor who never checked it. The winning numbers were 06, 14, 17, 19, 26, 43 and 45, with Bonus Number 27. OLG has urged players to check pockets, handbags, backpacks, wallets and car glove compartments, and said the ticket had not been scanned on the OLG app or at a store. If nobody comes forward in time, the C$40 million (about £21.4 million) stays with the lottery and goes toward future games. It would not be a first: a C$70 million Lotto Max prize won in Scarborough, Ontario, on June 28, 2022 was never claimed, and Atlantic Lottery says about 1% of prizes go unclaimed.
