What are agricultural implements?

Agricultural implements are tools or equipment used in farming, especially to prepare soil and support the production of food and fiber. The USDA’s terminology for tillage implements includes primary-tillage tools such as plows, chisel plows, disks, bedders, subsoilers and rotary tillers; secondary-tillage tools include harrows, cultivators, rollers and levelers. The USDA standard excludes implements designed for earth movement and transport.
