Keiichi Sigsawa and illustrator Kouhaku Kuroboshi, the writer and artist behind Kino’s Journey, are launching a new light novel series called Drifted ~John Smith no Edo Hyōryū Kitan~ (Drifted: Strange Tale of John Smith’s Drifting in Edo) under Kadokawa’s Dengeki Bunko imprint. The first volume ships in Japan on November 10, 2026. The story follows a wandering man who teams up with ninjas, yōkai, and people with supernatural powers to carry out his “jobs.”
