Angel Falls (Salto Ángel) in Venezuela is the world’s tallest uninterrupted waterfall, with a total height of 979 meters (3,212 feet) and a single main plunge of 807 meters (2,648 feet). It drops off the edge of the Auyán-tepui table mountain in Canaima National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Bolívar State.
The 979-meter figure includes the main drop plus about 400 meters of sloped cascades and rapids below it and a final 30-meter plunge downstream.
