According to public broadcaster SVT’s Valu exit poll, Sweden’s centre-left opposition bloc led by Magdalena Andersson was projected at 51.3% of the vote, ahead of Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson’s right-wing bloc at 46.8%. Voting ended at 18:00 GMT on Sunday, September 13, 2026, and official counting was still under way when the exit poll was published.
A separate election-day poll from TV4 also showed the centre-left ahead. Swedish exit polls are not always definitive — in 2022 an exit poll similarly favored Andersson’s bloc before Kristersson’s right-wing coalition ultimately won.
