Alexander Zverev won the 2026 US Open men’s singles title, beating American Ben Shelton in four sets in the final on Sunday, September 13, 2026. The top-seeded German closed out a 6-3, 7-6 (7-2), 5-7, 6-2 victory on Arthur Ashe Stadium for his second Grand Slam title of the year after the French Open.
Shelton was trying to become the first American man to win a major singles title since Andy Roddick in 2003, but Zverev controlled the opening two sets and sealed the match after Shelton’s third-set push. It was Zverev’s first US Open title, six years after he lost the 2020 final from two sets up.
