Who won the 2026 United States Grand Prix?

Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli won the 2026 United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, on October 25, 2026, finishing 16 seconds ahead of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, with Red Bull’s Max Verstappen third.

The 20-year-old Italian led from the first lap and made only one pit stop while almost everyone else stopped twice. It was his ninth win in the 18 races so far this season and his first since the Spanish Grand Prix last month. Lewis Hamilton finished fourth, while Antonelli’s teammate George Russell took a five-second penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage and finished eighth. Antonelli now leads Russell by 123 points but did not clinch the title in Austin. He will be crowned champion at the Mexico City Grand Prix (October 30 to November 1) unless he loses more than 23 points to Russell or more than 24 to Hamilton, which would make him the youngest world champion in Formula 1 history.
