Max Verstappen won. The Red Bull driver converted pole position into victory at the 2026 Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix, which was held at Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit on October 4, 2026. He finished 2.307 seconds ahead of Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli after 55 laps, with Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton third, Charles Leclerc fourth and Isack Hadjar fifth.
According to the FIA, it was Verstappen’s first win of the 2026 season and the first victory for Red Bull Ford Powertrains. Heavy rain delayed the start, and George Russell’s Mercedes stopped after 49 laps, which extended Antonelli’s lead in the Drivers’ Championship.
