To delete your Meta AI account (your Meta AI profile), open Meta Accounts Center, click Manage next to your Meta account, choose Deactivation or deletion, select Delete account, and confirm with your password. Once deletion finishes, Meta says you cannot reactivate the profile.
As of November 5, 2026, Meta’s Quest Help article on deleting your Meta Horizon profile, Meta AI profile, Pocket profile, Muse app and devices lists these desktop steps: log into Accounts Center, click Manage next to your Meta account, then Deactivation or deletion; select Delete account and Continue; review the information and Continue again; enter your password and Continue; then click Delete account. Meta says it may take up to 90 days for your data to be deleted, and you can cancel a scheduled deletion within 30 days.
If you only want to clear chats without deleting the profile, open the Meta AI app, tap Menu, then Settings, Data & privacy, and Manage your information to export data or delete chats and media. Removing Meta AI from WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram is a separate action from deleting the Meta AI profile.
