Not anymore, because Skype no longer exists as a consumer service. Microsoft retired Skype on May 5, 2025, ending both its free Skype-to-Skype calls and its paid calling features; Skype for Business was not affected. Microsoft directs former Skype users to Microsoft Teams Free, where they can sign in with their Skype credentials and keep their contacts and chats.
Microsoft also stopped selling Skype Credit and calling subscriptions to new customers, and all Skype Number subscriptions ended in May 2026. Remaining paid users can reach the Skype Dial Pad through the Skype web portal and Teams Free.
