Yes. Between March and August 2026, De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) transferred about 86 tonnes of gold from holdings in the United States and Canada to London, citing rising geopolitical unrest and a need for stronger crisis preparedness.
DNB said gold stored at the Bank of England is among the world’s most easily tradable, while reserves in New York and Ottawa are harder to deploy quickly. After the move, Dutch gold is more evenly spread: London 32.1%, Zeist 30.8%, and New York and Ottawa 18.5% each. Total reserves remain 612.4 tonnes.
