Yes. On September 4, 2026, Nepali Army and police rescue teams pulled two workers alive from the Trishuli 3A hydropower tunnel after they had been trapped for nine days by flash floods along the Nepal–Tibet border.
Mechanical foreman Sanjay Shah and project supervisor Kabir Maharjan were found deep inside the tunnel and flown to Kathmandu for treatment; Shah was reported stable while Maharjan was in critical condition with a leg injury. The floods, triggered by a glacial collapse, have killed more than 1,200 people, with thousands still missing.
