Grok usage limits depend on your plan: paid plans share one weekly usage pool across all Grok products, and xAI sizes it relative to the $8 Plus plan rather than as a fixed number of messages.
As of November 2, 2026, xAI’s pricing page lists these individual plans:
- Free ($0): limited Chat and agent requests
- Plus ($8/month): the base shared usage pool
- Premium ($30/month): 4x the usage of Plus
- Super ($100/month): 15x the usage of Plus
- Ultra ($200/month): 50x the usage of Plus
The pool covers Chat, Imagine, Voice, Build and the API, and heavier tasks such as video generation or long coding sessions use more of it. It resets weekly on a schedule shown in Settings, then Usage. When it runs out, paid features pause until the reset, but free-tier Chat and Voice remain available. You can also buy Extra Usage Credits on the web from $5 (they expire after one year), turn on Auto Top Up, or upgrade to a higher plan.
