Has the Bleach anime officially ended?

Yes. In late October 2026 the Bleach anime aired its final episode, concluding the Thousand-Year Blood War storyline that adapts the last arc of Tite Kubo’s manga.

The original Bleach anime ran from 2004 to 2012 across 16 seasons but stopped before reaching the end of the manga, leaving fans unsure whether it would ever return. The Thousand-Year Blood War adaptation premiered in 2022 and was split into four parts, with the final part beginning in July 2026. The manga’s 2016 ending was widely seen as rushed, reportedly because Kubo had health problems while finishing it, so Kubo and the studio Pierrot Films changed parts of the story for the anime. Early fan reactions reported by BBC Newsbeat called the finale a “perfect” ending, and a tease at the end of the episode has fans hoping for more stories set in the Bleach universe. The series can be streamed on Disney+ worldwide and on Hulu in the United States.
