$300 million. Tab, a personal AI assistant that users text through iMessage or WhatsApp, announced on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, that it had emerged from stealth at a $300 million valuation. The company declined to share the exact amount it raised; investors in the round include SV Angel, Valar Ventures, and American Spirit.
Tab was started earlier in 2026 by Brennan Erbz, Stafford Schlitt, and Ammar Amdani. Users text it requests such as ordering groceries or finding birthday gifts, and it carries out the task using its own phone number, computer, and wallet. Amdani said user data is never used to train AI and that nothing that cannot be undone happens without the user’s approval.
