Yes, Mistral’s Le Chat is free to use, though it is now called Vibe and the Free plan has usage limits.
As of October 30, 2026, Mistral’s help center says Le Chat became Vibe on August 12, 2026. The address is still chat.mistral.ai, and your account, plan and conversations carry over. Mistral’s pricing page lists a Free plan on web and mobile with limited messages and web searches, limited coding sessions, basic image generation and editing, more than 100 connectors and up to 5 scheduled tasks.
Pro costs $14.99 a month before taxes. Mistral says it offers up to 6 times the Free plan’s messages, up to 5 times the web searches and up to 40 times the image generations, plus all-day coding with Vibe and chat and email support. Verified students can get Pro for $5.99 a month. Team costs $24.99 per user per month, and Enterprise is priced on request. Older reviews that still describe Le Chat Pro as unlimited are out of date, because Mistral now says paid plans are subject to fair usage limits.
