Gemini 3.8 Flash is Google DeepMind’s newest workhorse AI model, announced September 2, 2026. Google positions it as its best reasoning and coding Flash release yet, with gains over Gemini 3.7 Flash on software engineering, agentic tasks, and multi-step reasoning, while keeping the same introductory API price of $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output tokens (through December 31, 2026).
A companion model, Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber, targets vulnerability discovery and automated patching for trusted defenders through Google’s Fairwind Program. Consumers can use 3.8 Flash in the Gemini app (AI Pro and Ultra), AI Mode in Search, and Gemini in Sheets; developers can access it via the Gemini API, AI Studio, and Google Antigravity.
