When does daylight saving time end in 2026?

In the United States, daylight saving time ends on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 2:00 a.m. local time. At that moment clocks “fall back” to 1:00 a.m., so the 1 a.m. hour repeats and the day has an extra hour. Under the Energy Policy Act of 2005 rules in effect since 2007, DST runs from the second Sunday in March (March 8 in 2026) to the first Sunday in November.

Not everyone changes clocks: Hawaii, most of Arizona (the Navajo Nation is the exception), Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa and the U.S. Virgin Islands do not observe daylight saving time.
