Between Oct. 6 and Oct. 11, 2026, Yemen’s Houthi rebels struck five Saudi airports: King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Abha International Airport, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Jazan, Najran International Airport, and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, where a projectile fell nearby on Oct. 11. Riyadh’s King Khalid airport was hit hardest, struck four times in five days; a missile there on Oct. 10 killed 13 people and injured more than 300, and airport operations were suspended with flights cancelled or diverted. Saudi authorities say at least 20 people have been killed across the week’s attacks, and the Houthis have declared Saudi airspace a military zone.
