How to export Microsoft Copilot data?

To export your Microsoft Copilot data, sign in to the Microsoft privacy dashboard with the same personal Microsoft account you use in Copilot, go to Privacy > Empower your productivity > Copilot > Your Copilot app activity history, then select Export all activity history to download a CSV file.

As of November 6, 2026, Microsoft Support’s article “Manage your Copilot activity history in the privacy dashboard” says activity history is the record of what you type in Copilot and the AI-assisted responses you receive. For Copilot apps such as copilot.microsoft.com, open Copilot apps and choose Export all activity history. For Copilot in Microsoft 365 apps (Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams and Word) or Copilot Chat, open Copilot in Microsoft 365 apps and choose Export all Copilot in Microsoft 365 apps activity history or Export all Copilot Chat activity history. Those personal-account steps do not apply to work or school (Microsoft Entra) accounts. Microsoft’s activity-history page for the updated Copilot app (available as of August 18, 2026) points to the same privacy-dashboard export.
