How to delete DeepSeek account?

To delete your DeepSeek account, open Settings, go to Account settings and select Delete Account. Deletion is permanent: your chat history is erased and any unused API balance is forfeited.

As of November 5, 2026, DeepSeek’s official FAQ gives the path Settings > Account settings > Delete Account. It warns that all chat history in the account is permanently deleted and that any unused balance in your developer account is forfeited. If you cannot find the option, DeepSeek says to update the app to the latest version. On chat.deepseek.com, DeleteMe’s guide places the button under Settings > Profile, where you type DELETE MY ACCOUNT to confirm.

Before you delete, export what you want to keep. On the web, go to Settings > Data > Export data; the export contains your account information and all chat history, and the download link stays valid for 7 days. If you use the API, request a refund of any unused balance first under Billing > Refunds on the DeepSeek Platform. DeepSeek’s Privacy Policy states that once you delete your account, you cannot reactivate it or retrieve its content or personal data.
