To export your Claude data, sign in on the Claude web app or Claude Desktop, open Settings, go to Privacy, and click Export data. Anthropic then emails a download link to the address on your account; stay signed in and save the file within 24 hours.
As of November 5, 2026, Anthropic’s Help Center says self-service export is available to individual Free, Pro, Max and Ultra users and includes conversation data and account user data (not the saved Personal Finance dashboard yet). Exports cannot be started from Claude for iOS or Android. On Team or Enterprise plans, members can export their own chats only after an Owner or Primary Owner turns on “Allow members to export their own data”; Primary Owners export the whole organization’s data from Organization settings, Data and privacy. Exported data cannot be imported into another personal Claude account. If a link expires, request a new export the same way.
